Downtown Amherst Contradance
1st, 3rd and (sometimes) 5th Wednesday Nights at the Masonic Lodge, 99 Main Street, just down from the Black Sheep Deli, next to the Amherst police station. Please park on the street or at the Amherst parking garage. Masonic Lodge parking is not open to the public (yet).
Free Intro lesson: 7-7:30pm
Dancing: 7:30-10:30
Admission: $10, Students $8, High School $6
Please bring soft-soled shoes (or bare feet) and water; no street shoes on the floor.
A new contra dance series to give dancers a mid-week chance to stretch their legs. We'll be featuring lots of new and upcoming bands and callers as well as some familiar (or not so familiar) seasoned performers.
No partner needed --- All dances will be taught
An introductory lesson will be offered prior to every dance, so bring your friend!
